| woot! hey kids, it's me, rachel. it is currently 3:34 am and guess what i'm doing?!?! YES, that's right, i'm writing a paper! booooo NOT FUN!!! i SUCK at life, because i am an eternal procrastinator. thank you SO much PHS for teaching me time management skills, it's really helping me here at UPJ. NOT! :( boo-frickin-hoo for plum. wow. okay well i need to get back to it, cuz yeeahhh, it is supposed to be 6 pages long, and it is currently at the top of the fourth page (double spaced of course! yes, plum did teach us that life long lesson) yeeahhh... so i'll have to get right back on that.. hmm... i'm thinking of pulling an actual all nighter??? hmm.. maybe not, i like sleep. but the class is def at 9 o clock tomorrow morning. | hmm... so basically i'm a waste of life! haha it's bad. i am so lazy and all i do all day is lay in bed watching tv, eating, and doing nothing on the computer! haha but it's ok cuz my cool roommate sara does the same thing! yeeahh... so i'm staying up here this weekend.. and it's probably gonna be as boring as it was the last time i stayed here.. and even though i have tons of homework to do, i probably won't do it, and i'll regret it on sunday night. ooh ooh!!! but nooo bio on monday!!! so that is a HUGE plus!!!  yay!
anyways... i miss my friends sooooo much!!!! Namely Emily, Brenna, Megan, Jen, Ashleigh, Nikki, Rachael, Scott, Alek, and of course, my baby!!!! <3. But strangely enough, i even miss all of my not as good friends.. like everyone from high school that i was ever friends with basically... like i dont miss them a lot, but i'd be super duper happy if i ran into any of them!!!! ooh! i also miss all of my band friends!!! Justin, Nicole, Kevin, Brad, Jason, Emily, Laura, Erin, Keith.... EVERYONE!!!! love you guys!!! anywho... i have been drinking an excessive amount of lipton iced green tea with citrus lately!!! haha sara thinks i'm gonna start pissing out green tea. lol
ok so i just came on here basically to let out that i really really really like (wanna say something different.. :-/ ) Andrew!!!! he makes me happy.. well except for when he can't talk late at night and can only go online like maybe once a week to read all of my tons of myspace messages!  boo. and i love the song Here (in your arms) by Hellogoodbye.. it's perfect for me right now.
yeeah.. these walls are paper thin. it's retarded. and i stay up waayy too late!!! like i stayed up til 4:30 yesterday! haha crazy.. almost slept through my nine o clock this morning too! oops! but i was just a little late.

| The first from college.
So today was kinda stressful because i got here and my roommates had already set up their stuff and i was stuck with the super high lofted bed. and everytime i tell this story (cuz yes, i have told it a bunch today) i feel like i'm making them sound mean.. but they are really nice, and i would have done the same thing had i gotten here earlier. So yeah, at first i was just gonna deal with it, but then i was like, ummm no i really really hate top bunks.. so we were thinking of ways to make it lower and stuff and i was on the verge of tears... like i said, stressful.. so anyways, then we decided to put all the beds on the floor (like regular beds) and we moved the desks around a bunch of ways, and i think we got a pretty good deal figured out. i actually really like it. so the day just tired everyone out... which is weird, because besides actually moving all the stuff in, we didnt do a whole lot... i skipped the block party cuz i'm just soo antisocial like that.. haha no i just didnt feel good and i was talking to my baby... who by the way, i was looking forward to talking to all day and then finally actually talking to him made me miss him alot more.... urgh (wow havent said that in awhile) that's probably not good.. but yeah, i also kinda missed out on an opportunity to really meet the girls across the hall.. cuz i was at walmart with katie.. so hopefully i'll get to know them better later... i'm jealous of megan and her super duper good skills of making such good friends so fast and having fun and having fun sleepovers!!! oh well it'll get better... right? anyways i am so tempted to write people letters.. because honestly, that is so much fun. so yeah.... i am super duper happy that i can actually use my laptop... ON MY LAP!!!! hahah yeah i'm so sweet... i was scared that that wasnt gonna work out as well... so um this keyboard is super sweet and i never wanna use another keyboard ever again! like, desktop keyboards.. yeah they suck. i can type sooo fast on this one! i kinda feel like watching a movie for some odd reason.. i dunno but i also feel like sleeping.. i kinda wanna be with andrew too... i need to make some friends. haha. anyways yeah i bought another movie today cuz it was 5 bucks.. how friggen sweet is that?!?!? i love $5 and $7.50 movies from walmart.  ow. so my left hand pinkie hurts.. prob from typing.. so i'll go now... it's not like anyone reads this anyway haha cuz xanga is so 5 minutes ago... but yeah i hope i make some good friends tomorrow.  and i need to stop missing him... for my own sanity's sake. ok so bye! much

| sooo i guess i should write about the lakes now. but it ended up being insanely long so feel free to not read it, cuz it's basically so i just dont forget the memories.
Well, on thursday me and em went to Nikki's house and realized i forgot the actual directions.. so we got them offline and then went to the gas station and i called my dad so he could walk me through step by step how to get to Deep Creek. but that wasnt really necessary because i subconsciencely (sp???) knew how to get there all along!!! haha cuz i'm such an amazing navigator! lol So there we were, in the car, The Driver (Nikki), The Navigator (ME!), and The Atmosphere Maker (Emily) haha well at first she was in charge of the music (The Maestro) but then we realized that we could just put it on shuffle. lol so yeah, we had a fun road trip down to deep creek.. in which nikki drove real fast.. but it still took us forever to get there... weird. so it was a super fun day! we took a tour of the house... lots and lots of casablanca memorabilia because the house was named casablanca... and there was a room with all of the walls and even the ceiling covered in ivy. it was pretty crazy. and rachael's room walls were covered in blue bows. nice decorating. lol so we go downstairs, and it is an unfinished basement.. and rachael's like, yeah we could sleep down here cuz there's beds, but there are lots of spiders and i dont like them. so yeah, there are these 4 old fashioned beds lined up against the wall with no sheets or blankets or anything except mattresses. so we're like, that's real creepy. and thus begins our horror movie! haha. so we are playing ping pong and being creeped out by the beds, and the ping pong ball falls to the floor (cuz we're soo good at that game haha) and it rolls under a white plastic patio table and some matching chairs. so rachael goes to pick it up and she notices that there is a hole in the cement with like a rim of sorts made out of cement.. and it is filled in with sand, so we're like, what, does the murderer reach his hand out of there?! haha so we keep playing and we're getting real freaked out by this point.. cuz we were making up a creepy murder story. and facing the ping pong table is a coffee table and a couch (as if the p.p. table is a tv and it is a living room) and this is all facing the stairs and not the outside where there is a big glass sliding door. instead, directly behind the couch, there is a white wicker rocking chair that is facing the door. creepy! so we're (and by we i mean em and i at this point cuz rachael and nikki were too scared to make up stuff) like, yeah the murderer sits there and twiddles his thumbs and says, "i just murdered someone." ohh man.. yeah we're weird. so throughout the day we added other elements to the story.. like the wooden paddle nailed to the overhang going into the kitchen is his murder weapon, but he has a nail gun to put it back when he's done with it.. but no, he doesnt use the nail gun as his weapon. riiight. haha and then we were in the hot tub and right above emily's head was a real weird looking dragonfly hanging off of the porch above us and we're like, ooh it's a sign from the murderer! you're next!!! hahaha ohhhh man. so yeah... anyways!! that is soooo long.
so once we were done with that and lunch.. we went down to the dock and swam for awhile.. well actually we floated haha on lots of rafts and such. and then we went for a boat ride and stopped at uno's so her parents could get delicious frozen uno's pizza and also go to arrowhead (i'm slightly dissapointed that i couldnt go there) but we hung out in the yard at uno's where there is a whale and an elephant. not real ones you silly people! so we took some fun pictures on the whale.. and then we're like, let's get on the elephant! haha that was interesting cuz it was like 8 feet tall and um.. we arent. lol but we all did get up there and we took super fun pictures! and then we took pictures of all the lawn animals that people like to put up.. like a chicken and a buffalo and a horse. when we got back, the paddle boat had drifted off into rocks lol. funn. and there was a big rock by the dock (mer.. that rhymed) that looked like the one in little mermaid.. so we took pics of rachael being arielle and they just look bad.. lol and by bad i mean.. umm... risque? haha and then some of me.. and i look bad... and by bad, i mean bad. so then we went up for dinner and we're like, maybe we should take showers.. but to save time, let's get in together in our bathing suits. haha. so we like rotated and it was funny. then we ate dinner and played with some weird metal thing that was either a puzzle or a torturing device.. and since we couldnt figure it out as a puzzle.. it must be the latter. hahah so then we were gonna watch casablanca.. but for some reason, we didnt. so we played scene it JR. instead.. and yes, i dominated!! haha but we realized that nikki is the music person, emily movies, rachael science, and me.. well everything! haha no actually really tv and actors. it was interesting and funny and fun. but also kinda sad because we were struggling a bit on some.. and it was the jr. version, so we dont wanna know what the regular one is like. haha. so then we watched How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days... maybe not the best choice then.. but still a good movie. and then we put on office space but fell asleep.. the beginning is real weird though.. but sleeping on the floor was NOT the best choice. :-/ anyways.. so in the morning we had some delicious cinnamon rolls and then left.. after taking forever to get everything packed up.. cuz me and emily are overpackers. haha. so then we left for yough.
we are lake hoppers and we love it!
so we get to yough and i called my mom to see where they were.. and for some reason they let andrew answer.. which was dumb cuz he couldnt tell me where they were or anything.. "where are you?" "on a road" "how long until you're here?" "i dunno" haha ohh man not helpful. so finally i got that it would be awhile and that we could call mcwilliams so they could pick us up. so i say to em and nikki, "so we could either call mcwilliams and have them pick us up now" in a dull voice.. and then more excitedly "or we could stay in the car and sleep!" haha so that's what we decided to do.. so we're all sitting in the car with our feet out the windows.. reading books and magazines and fake sleeping.. and then kelly came up to the car and scared the crap out of us! haha i guess they got the message that we were there.. which kinda sucked cuz we wanted to sleep! lol so we went to the house... which has a horrible steep hill up to the house that we had to walk up... it took everything out of me! haha so we sat there for awhile till everyone came.. and then we ate lunch. then we went down and went tubing for awhile and andrew and emily were tubing "X-RATED!!!" hahaha.. and i went sea dooing.. lol i guess that can be a verb.... hm. and me and courtney went tubing and we both had to pee so bad so we stopped.. and then we all went swimming randomly in the middle of the lake. fun stuff! but it's kinda hard to just swim in one spot.. and the buoys werent helping all that much. so we went back and laid around sun bathing and swimming and such... and i almost died!! so here's the story. there was something i wanted to take a picture of (dont know what) so i had to get my camera out of the compartment in the boat.. but i'm too lazy to actually get in the boat and take it out and then get out of the boat... so i had one foot on the dock and one foot on the side of the boat.. and i grabbed my camera and the next thing i know, i'm in the water!!!  so all i'm thinking at this point is that i have to save my camera.. so i had my arm stuck straight out of the water and i feel myself sinking and luckily courtney took it and i came up.. and i was like what the hell just happened?! haha i was cracking up and everyone was like omg what happened are you ok?! haha and apparently the boat was coming towards me. not so good. so i got outta there and i was like, i can't believe that just happened. lol cuz i was definately stuck in between the boat and the dock and could've died or at least got seriously injured. so like 2 minutes later.. i'm like, where are my sunglasses? oh shit. i definately had them on my head when i fell in the water (along with my flip flops--which i also almost lost-- and my shorts)... so that basically sucked. but jen got mask goggles and retrieved them for me! yay! haha so that was pretty crazy. so we were just sitting around and swimming and such. and then we decided it was time to go water skiing. and me and andrew are the only ones who can do it.. cuz emily doesnt care to try anymore.. and i dont think rachael wants to try in front of us... and nikki is scared of water sports such as that and tubing.. cuz she flew off the tube twice last year.. aww haha! so andrew went forever which is crazy cuz it hurts real bad. and then i went, and got up on the first try like usual.. but i was like, i hate just straight skiing with no tricks or anything.. cuz that's real boring.. so i went outside the wake, but my foot got caught on it trying to get back in and i fell down pretty bad. and then it took me two more failed attempts to get back up again! i was like, this is sucky cuz i can usually get up pretty easy. so i just went for a little bit and tried outside the wake again and succeeded. but i didnt do it for long cuz it really hurts my back and arms and hands. so then we went and ate dinner. and we (the 4 of us.. andrew, em, nikki, and i) all laid on the hammock for awhile listening to music. then we (em, andrew, jen, kallie (?), and adam) went tubing again... and me being the dumbbutt i am, went with andrew who was like, "i wanna get thrown off!" i'm like... greeat. so he's like being psycho trying to fly off.. and then we stopped to fix his seat and we found a balloon so he tied it to the tube haha. so then we went again and mr. mcwilliams goes like crazy with his "S" turns i guess you could say. but for like 5 times, andrew wasnt holding on and he still didnt fall out. so i was like, "i should push him out." but nooo.. i am a nice, good hearted person and i was like, no i wont do that because it will hurt. so i asked him if i could push him out next time we were leaning that way and he said yes.. but that was dumb because then we leaned my way and he tried to push me out! i tried sooo hard to stay in, but i flew out and landed face first on the hard water.. and my eyelid hit it and seriously felt like it came off! haha it hurt real bad though and i was so mad! so jen gave me a wooden paddle to hit him with haha. so then kallie and adam and jen went and andrew pursuaded emily to go. and i said, "if you push her out, i will beat you up!" so em was like "i'll get revenge and push him out" so they go tubing.. X-RATED! hah. and she seriously used every fiber of her being to push him out... but he ended up pushing her out!!!  i was so mad! so i jumped out of the boat without a life jacket on and used every fiber of my being trying to swim over to him to beat him up. but that was super super tiring and i couldnt get to him.. so me and em (she saved me with her jacket) were like, let's just go tubing together back to the dock haha. oh i forgot. before i jumped out, i was yelling at him and then i looked over at emily and said are you ok?! and she was holding her eyelid!!!! hahahah!  so then we (the two people who had just been pushed out of the tube) went tubing back and we were like.. so should we do some circles? haha so we did. we're dumb. no lol actually we're super sweet. and then we jumped out and swam real far to the dock.. needless to say, we got alot of exercize. esp. cuz then we had to climb the mountain again.
so then we all got ready and they took a boat full of ppl to the loading dock and then came back for us. so while we were waiting on the dock i took some super amazing pics of the lake and the almost done sunset. and emily kicked andrew in the balls. which was slightly humorous. and then when the boat got there, my mom somehow fell in headfirst and had one leg sticking up in the air and mr. mcwilliams caught her. it wouldve been more funny if it wasnt my mom. and if she wasnt obnoxiously laughing which made me say, "that is where i get my obnoxious laugh." so then we left and drove home. and we stopped at burger king (which was farther away than promised) so i could get a drink out of the trunk.. and we ate like a whole bag of fritos and teddy grahams. funn. haha so that is the suuuuuuuuper long story of the adventurous lake days!!!!! i'm glad you all stuck around.. haha even though i know katie is the only one who will read it all cuz she's reading it as i write it lol. ok bye!
